Using the Sourcing Engine
How a search works
You describe a role or paste a full job description. The application turns that into must-have and preferred criteria. Nothing is sourced until you approve them, and only approved criteria are sent to the sourcing provider.
What a match score means
Scores are advisory. They are computed from your criteria, your weights and the evidence found, and every point is traceable to a specific criterion. A score never removes, hides or rejects a candidate.
Why a criterion says 'not found'
It means no retrieved source addressed it. That is not the same as the candidate lacking it — public profiles are incomplete. Treat it as unknown and confirm with the person.
Why some quotes are missing
A quote is only shown when the exact text was found in the stored source. If it could not be verified, the claim is marked unknown rather than shown without support.
Signing in, and why to set a password
Your first sign-in uses a link sent to your email. Once you are in, open Account and set a password — after that you can sign in directly. This matters most when the workspace is embedded in another page, where a sign-in link means leaving for your inbox every time. A banner prompts you until a password is set.
Seats and plans
Work requires an assigned seat on an active subscription. Account administrators assign seats; SCG sets the allowance. Losing a seat never deletes your history.
Candidate privacy
Every record carries where it came from and when it was retrieved. Suppression removes a person from future results, and deletion requests are tracked to completion.
Scores support human review. They are not a hiring decision, and this application does not screen anyone out automatically.
